MC Home

When I first moved into my new apartment I was overwhelmed with the daunting task of buying furniture.
But now it has become actually fun to find special pieces to create a space that is truly me.

Since it's a studio, the bed pretty much dictates the rest of the apartment.
Once I had my bed in place, it was easy to envision what else I really needed.
There is a lot of natural light (I'm excited about my low electric bill!)
so I wanted to keep the decor light, airy and colorful.
I decided on a loose color scheme of white, black, tan/cream,
turquoise, and my fave color - purple. (Look familiar?)

I spent last weekend scouring thrift stores and vintage shops for a dresser.
After hours of searching, my friend and I were feeling defeated. I then turned to Craigslist and
found the perfect shabby chic dresser...white, distressed, and had mix-matched Anthropologie knobs!

As for a coffee table, I wanted something unique to add a playful vibe to the space.
Enter: a one-of-a-kind turquoise coffee table I found on Etsy.
I am literally obsessed with this coffee table. When I woke up this morning,
I rolled over and smiled right when I saw it.

My apartment is the definition of a work in progress, so stay tuned for what I find next!

    cute coffee table!

  2. I know exactly how you feel. I always try to decorate slowly. I get the big pieces but then spread out the rest over months. It's just too fun. Fabulous post, love! If you get a sec, I'd love to hear your thoughts on my latest. xo

  3. Glad you're doing well with the apartment... and that coffee table is... well, truly awesome ^^
